　　这是一部改编自比利时第一位接管安乐死的病人马里奥?韦斯特拉特实在履历的电影，腾跃的时候线串联起他的平生，三十九年的平生看上去似乎那末简单。电影从马里奥的青春时代起头，他和洽友托马斯同时爱着美丽的姑娘琳恩。很快马里奥在酒吧碰到了另一位女孩，他们恋爱了，他们成婚了，他们生了孩子，他们仳离了，电影以几个蒙太奇的方式快速将故事推入正题。好友托马斯不经意间查处了马里奥的多发性软化症，一路头这位年轻的政客对照还不以为然。他对生活和未来照旧布满信心，他用勇气和诙谐化解一切。虽然他很快晓得了这类疾病的能力，但他照旧感觉要过好生命多赐予他的每一天，直到疾病让他落空了自我的才能，他才感觉自己的人生完了，理想完了，未来也完了。与其没有庄严，不欢畅的在世，还不如凭自己的意志决议自己的人生，他挑选了安乐死。
