　　虽然支流观众争睹色情电影的高潮已经衰退，但还是有一些导演对峙继续拍摄高质量的色情电影，拉德雷梅杰(Radley Metzger)在1975年导演的《贝多芬蜜斯的启蒙》(The Opening of Misty Beethoven)就是最好的例子。此片改编自萧伯纳的名剧「卖花女」(Pygmalion)，也可以说是好莱坞电影《窈窕淑女》(My Fair Lady)的色情变奏版。片中的贝多芬蜜斯原本是一个轻佻肮脏的陌头妓女，常日都在巴黎成人戏院帮男客手淫，但当她碰到某位性学博士今后，却被革新成为气质文雅的交际圈名媛，而且在色情杂志出书商的年度盛大舞会中艳压群芳。
