　　一对美人鱼姐妹，银和金，在陆地上寻觅他们的胡想天堂。歌舞光辉，灯光闪烁的夜生活让两姐妹留连忘返。乐队三人组的主唱密斯收养了她们，带两姐妹看遍人世富贵，并让她们在舞台上发光发热，两姐妹的歌声获得了观众的认可。在与人类相处的进程中，两姐妹渐渐领会到人性善与恶。
　　野性的金由于被社会富贵的影响，兽性突显，噬人成魔。纯真的银爱上了人类，乐队里的帅贝斯手，两人堕入热恋，但是贝斯手希望银能酿成实在的女孩子。银愿意为爱人支出一切，即利用尾巴换成双脚后会落空美好的歌声。但是两人的豪情却逃不外外界的引诱，贝斯手出轨并要与其他人成婚。
　　银必须在婚礼当晚天亮前吃了变节她的爱人，否则自己将在第二天天亮前化成泡沫消失。但是银没有下狠心，最初在爱人的拥抱里，带着浅笑化成了泡沫。金由于落空相依为命的姐妹，再次落空明智，咬死了贝斯手，失望的回到了海里。”
