◎简 介
卧底捕快杰克·罗尼克（Ethan Hawke 饰）为履利用命时代两位同伴的身亡而自责，因而调离了原岗担任13号警署的警长，心理医师艾丽科斯定期为他教导，但杰克用放荡不羁的态度粉饰苦闷。新年夜里，大雪骤降，13号警署只要杰克、老警察贾斯帕和秘书爱丽丝三人值班，新近落网的黑帮头子毕绍普（Laurence Fishburne 饰）与别的三名罪犯正在逃解的途中，由于大雪封路，押送车拐入13号警署暂歇，艾丽科斯也不能不滞留警署。两名押送警加入了庆贺新年的小型集会，忽然之间情势相持不下，押送警中弹身亡，数十名武装职员包围了13号警署并切断了杰克等人与外界的联系，杰克从入侵者的身上搜出警察证件，发现对方是持久与毕绍普合作的警队莠民，现在为避免工作败事欲杀人灭口，杰克只好借助四名监犯的气力，和全部武装的警队莠民们展开连番苦战。
本片翻拍自1976年由卡朋特指导的同名影片，获2005年加拿大导演协会最好音效剪辑奖。
