◎简 介
在亚马逊森林要地，探险科学家图里奥（罗德里格·桑托罗 Rodrigo Santoro 配音）和琳达（莱斯利·曼恩 Leslie Mann 配音）发现几近灭绝的野生蓝色斯皮克斯金刚鹦鹉。夫妻俩经过电视向全天下公布这一惊人消息，看到这一幕的珠儿（Anne Hathaway 配音）劝说丈夫布鲁（Jesse Eisenberg 配音），筹算带着三个调皮心爱而且已经习惯了人类文化天下生活的鹦鹉小宝宝，回到它们发展千百年的故乡寻觅同类。鹦鹉一家说走就走，和它们的好朋友踏上布满惊险和兴趣的空中旅程。与此同时，某不法砍伐团体看到消息，为避免图里奥夫妻阻止他们的罪行，他们也静静采纳行动。另一方面，与布鲁积怨已久的葵花凤头鹦鹉奈杰发现布鲁的踪影，也愤然采纳行动。
布鲁一家最不服凡的假期，正朝着意想不到的偏向成长……

·影片的北美版预告海报中，大约150只斯皮克斯金刚鹦鹉的身材组成了一个“2”字，这个数字也是天下上已知现存这一品种鹦鹉的全数数目。
·本片是蓝天工作室继《冰河世纪》以后第二部被建形成系列影片的动画片。
·影片歌手配唱团声势奢华，在前一部奥斯卡影帝兼格莱美歌王杰米·福克斯、格莱美最好组合黑眼豆豆团长Will.I.a m的根本上，又加入了当红格莱美歌王布鲁诺·马尔斯、新晋唱作女歌手加奈儿·梦奈等。
·《里约大冒险》第一和二部的编剧唐·莱默尔在2012年因癌症病逝，年仅51岁。本片是他的最初一部作品。莱默尔担任编剧的其他影片包括《绝地奶霸》、《圣诞老人2》、《冲浪季节》等。
·为“碧雅”配音的黑人童星阿曼德拉·斯坦伯格生于1998年，之前她曾在《饥饿游戏1》中出演善良的Rue一角，给人留下深入的印象。
·为“卡拉”配音的蕾切尔·克罗是初次介入电影。2011年，13岁的她加入第一届美版《x-factor》歌手选手入围五强而一鸣惊人。

·片中拉斐尔的夫人伊娃被描写成一位极为糟糕的歌手，但为她配音的贝贝儿·吉尔贝托现实中唱功很不错。
·昔时艾森伯格第一次给布鲁配音的时辰，还没竣事《交际收集》的拍摄。是以布鲁措辞的语速略快，是受了“马克·扎克伯格”的影响，不外他在《里约2》中的语速一般多了。
