　　Max，20岁，来自德国东部的德累斯顿。他是一位成功的YouTuber，具有着跨越三十万的定阅粉丝，凭仗着喧闹和少见多怪的视频而走红。镜头里的他在公然场所饮酒鼓噪，大吵大闹，凌辱弱者。同时，他与德国极右翼新纳粹势力 和所谓“身份认同活动”有着亲近联系，视频中经常出现纳粹标记和极端主义用语。他真的认同这类政治概念吗？大概这只是一场年轻人的游戏，一切都只为文娱？                                    
                                《玩具之王》的导演和摄影师伴随了Max和以他为中心的小团体了一个炎天，拍摄下了很多使人不安的场景。本片在德国重要的莱比锡DOK电影节获得了最高奖项金鸽奖。但是本片的上映亦陪伴着庞大的争议，右翼团体指责记载片团队在电影中过度沉默，并未就仆人公的布景和动机给出具体诠释，反倒授与极右翼团体以宣扬自己主张的平台。
