◎简 介
已经名噪一时的棒球手莫里斯（Billy Bob Thornton 比利?鲍伯?松顿 饰）因进犯裁判而被禁赛，他今后沉溺酒精，自甘出错。在律师丽兹（Marcia Gay Harden 玛西亚?盖?哈登 饰）的游说和金钱引诱下，莫里斯重出江湖，只不外他所担任的是某少年棒球队的教练。
话说这真是一支惨绝人寰的球队，这群12岁的孩子领莫里斯头痛不已：好吃成性的小胖子、好斗急躁的小矮子、备受轻视的外籍人、活动神经超差的笨蛋，甚至还有坐着轮椅的小孩。摆在莫里斯眼前的似乎是一个不成能的使命……
