　　出租车司机吉米·唐（成龙 饰）是个在自己心仪女子眼前缺少自傲的家伙，所经频频排演但还是会在上阵时手足无措。飚出租车是他唯一所长，具有因超速被九次吊扣执照的名誉记录，也因这一点被富翁戴弗林（Jason Isaacs 饰）的助手选中，担任戴弗林的司机。
　　戴弗林的另一身份是情报局局长，此时正尽力观察一宗饮用水公司的贸易诡计。唐被戴弗林文雅的行为深深服气，两人合作和谐，不意一日两人遭滑板炸弹攻击，戴弗林重伤，昏迷前将家中严禁触碰的大礼服交予唐利用，并留下“沃特史崔达”的莫名文句。
