　　本片延续《我们的故事》系列，第三部以1979年为初步，横跨十多年至1980年月末的流金光阴。报告林家第二代和邻人们一同从甘榜搬入政府组屋后的故事，履历新加坡情况、政策和民生的大变迁。
　　
　　在姐姐过世后，阿坤（李国煌 饰）悔改改过，成为一位德士司机，和年轻一代的侄子顺发由于代沟经常发生抵触。80年月新加坡正实施多项鼎新政策，阿坤经常对政府的诸多政策感应不满，像是华文黉舍被迫封闭、新加坡精英制度等，成果断议和政府“唱反调”，建立否决党。众人的故事会若何结束？
