　　卡菲、山姆以及另一位女律师盖洛维（黛米·摩尔 Demi Moore 饰）组成辩方律师停止观察，而基地批示官杰塞普上校（杰克·尼科尔森 Jack Nicholson 饰）是本案的关键人物，他拒绝了圣地亚哥的调离申请，对他下达了“红色条规”，事后擅自篡改了飞翔记录。卡菲虽然晓得真相，却苦于证据不敷，这类情况下如果指证杰塞普上校还会给自己带来麻烦。这场关乎正义的诉讼案，会有一个怎样的成果？
