　　怙恃結婚60多年，仍然很是恩愛。可是，母親近年得了認知障礙症，漸漸落空照顧自己的才能。年過95的父親惟有擔起打理家頭細務的責任。遠在東京的信友直子，放下電視台的導演工作，回到故乡廣島吳市，用攝錄機記錄兩老掙扎的平常。為期三年的拍攝過程，導演除了發掘怙恃的另一面，同時亦為了報答怙恃，多年前在自己患癌期間，賦予的支持和鼓勵。以最间接的角度，記載人生的甜酸苦辣，不用煽情的手法，創出溫柔的催淚良方。
