　　改编自文学名着《怒河》，导演安东尼．曼。杰勒比带着家人率领着一批蓬车队到西部拓荒，林．克伦尼是车队批示，途中救下快要吊死的柯尔二人，得知本来他二人是鸿沟区的抢匪转业．当天早晨柯尔帮助克伦尼击退来袭的印第安人，因而他们便同业，随车来到达波伦镇。在那边又结识了一位赌徒—崔．威尔森，在引诱当前，柯尔赋性难改，变节了克伦尼掠取一批补给品，因而三人之间发生一场惊险万分的生死战。本片的故工作节盘曲，在描写柯尔的心理活动时，详实清楚，刻画人物较仔细，三人展开生死战时的排场也非常精采。
