　　概况上看来，乔伊（保罗·沃克 Paul Walker 饰）过着大家恋慕的完竣生活，温馨的屋子，标致的妻子，听话懂事的儿子，乔伊似乎对这一切的一切都信手拈来。但在背后里，乔伊有着自己的忧心，身为一个黑道中人，他至今仍然做着替人跑腿销赃的“小事”，上位之日指日可待。终究有一 天，机遇来了，老迈率领乔伊加入了一次重要的毒品买卖，没想到遭人暗害，老迈被射身亡。自始自终的，乔伊被分派了烧毁枪枝的小使命，意气消沉的他随手将枪放入了家中的地下室里。
　　没想到，自己随意的行为被儿子和他的好友奥格雷（卡梅隆·布莱特 Cameron Bright 饰）一览无余，不幸的是，奥格雷是一个整天受家庭暴力所苦的孩子，一念之差下，奥格雷偷了枪，将凌虐他的继父打死。事已至此，一切都变得复杂起来，本来，奥格雷的继父是某俄罗斯黑帮老迈的侄子，一时候，黑道白道和乔伊都在寻觅着奥格雷的踪影，乔伊必须在18小时内找到奥格雷和他的枪，否则结果不胜设想。
