　　《地球生灵》（别名 田野中的平生）由BBC Earth和Magic Light配合建造出品。电影经过一系列活泼且富有设想力的故事，捕捉一切生物从诞生的那一刻直到完成传承后代的重要使命，揭露了地球上生物生命周期的慎密联系，其中有很多片断是从不曾在电影中出现过的。
      本片由BBC博物学部分（BBC Natural History Unit）的Michael Gunton和Martha Holmes执导，也是演员丹尼尔·克雷格初次为记载片停止配音，电影特天时用了浅显易懂的说话以便儿童了解。克雷格暗示，自己很是有幸介入到这部电影中，BBC的博物学部分证实了多年来他们拍摄记载片的水平始终无人能出其右。
      电影的建造和前期耗时四年多，内容精编自长达上万个小时的拍摄镜头，展现了使人蔚为大观的生物，它们时而英勇、希奇，时而心爱、美丽，又会让你在不经意中忍俊不由。电影缔造了很多个“初次”的拍摄记录，很多动物是第一次出现在电影中，或是某种行为第一次被拍摄记录，抑或是利用一种新的拍摄技能令熟悉的场景看起来完全纷歧样。
