◎简 介
座落在路易斯安那州的巴顿鲁治郡，生在世一个名叫柯登·马可斯（帕特里克·法比安 Patrick Fabian 饰）的年轻牧师，他自幼跟从父亲进修圣经，其传教的气概怪异，倍受接待，但与他来说毕竟只是一项谋生；在家中柯登则是个好丈夫和洽父亲，与妻儿过着幸运的生活。马可斯家属同 时也是有着丰富经历的驱魔世家，但是一些虚假的驱魔仪式令柯登倍感忧心。他因而请来摄制组拍摄记载片，旨在揭穿驱魔仪式中的骗人行动。
恰好此时，另一个州的艾凡伍家来信乞助。柯登决议将其作为自己最初一次的驱魔，他和摄制组驱车前往，并顺遂为女孩奈儿做了驱魔仪式。但是，一切并未就此竣事，可骇的工作持续不断发生……
