　　美国某个小镇，极不服凡的一天。能力强大的龙卷风行将囊括此地，在人们惟恐避之不及的时辰，已经持续四个月沉沦酒精的母亲珍妮特（Erin McGrane 饰）带着珍妮弗（Meg Saricks 饰）、爱丽丝（Emily Boresow 饰）和萨莉这三个女儿驱车外出，去接曩昔这些年一向在外洋疆场退役的丈夫。谁知车行到半路，龙卷风竟忽然出现在死后。危机时辰，珍妮特将车停在路边，带着女儿狂奔逃向四周的一户室第。她们拼命叫门无人回应，只得自顾自砸开地下室的锁躲了进去。
　　龙卷风事后，吹倒的树木压住地下室的门，而手机信号亦很微小，求救无应。更让母女四人感应失望的是，似乎有一些奥秘之人决心将她们困死在这里，可骇与灭亡气味舒展……
