◎简　　介　
　　故事发生在一个名叫加里森的小镇中，由于镇上居住的大大都都是差人，因而人们亲热的将其成为“差人镇”。一次意外中，警官巴比奇（迈克尔·拉帕波特 Michael Rapaport 饰）误以为两个青年想要开枪向他射击，出于差人的本能，他先发制人将两人击毙。事后，巴比奇才发现，那时那两个年轻人手上拿的底子就不是枪，而是一把偏向盘锁。
　　巴比奇的过失成为了当地的丑闻，为了袒护这一丑闻，警界同业们纷纷“出谋献策”，终极，经过同寅们的暗箱操纵，两个年轻人的车里凭空多出了一把枪，巴比奇也成为了一个由于保护小镇战争而失落的豪杰。可是，纸毕竟包不住火，巴比奇和差人镇的奥秘在一次偶然间被一个名叫弗莱迪（西尔维斯特·史泰龙 Sylvester Stallone 饰）的年轻治安官给看破了。

　　由已经的行动片豪杰史泰龙出演Freddy这一不含几多行动成份的配角，使他证实了自己的演技一样是一流的，在本片中他的表演与Robert De Niro相比有过之而无不及。虽然影片犯了一个条件性的毛病：纽约州规定，纽约差人部分的工作职员必须居住在本州呢，但这无损本片的出色。
