◎幕后揭秘
　　影片没有机械地将七桩案件罗列在一路，而是从两名警探的角度慢慢展开。弗里曼的豪迈睿智、彼特的未老先衰，都很是合适脚色的本性。对白很有回味，全然没有惊险片惯常的痴人式问答。反角不但在最初一幕出乎意料地露面，而且有大段的独白。他说的话并不深邃，但难以琢磨透。影片勇于给反角大段台词以展现其艺术魅力，实属高招。终局虽然以反角灭亡了结，但现实上是他大获全胜。
