　　住在小女孩小米（金赛纶 饰）隔邻确寺库大叔（元斌 饰）除过买卖之外和邻人们从不交往，颓丧的外型以及沉默的性情让人们对于他的身份有诸多思疑。天真的小米从不理睬这些传言，经常造访这位奥秘邻人居然使他俩渐渐的成为朋友。小米的妈妈连累到黑帮的毒品掠取当中，终极使自己和小米堕入危险当中。目击小米和妈妈被人绑架确寺库大叔为了救出小米和妈妈，起头和黑道展开斗争。此时，警方也在动手观察这起案件，寺库大叔元泰锡的真正身份渐渐浮出水面。被摘除一切值钱器官的小米妈妈的尸身在一辆汽车的后备箱里被发现，可是，和她一路失落的小米却仍然着落不明……

　　《大叔》是曾执导过《热血男儿》的李正范的第二部电影。《男儿》报告生活在社会底层的无赖们残暴而动人的人生，李正范描写汉子粗糙豪情中的细致触觉为人称道。本片为了实在再现毒品构造的天下，导演翻查了大量的材料做作业，行动排场也显现得相当富丽同血腥，但李正范暗示，《大叔》只是打着“行动片”灯号重在“叙情”的电影，“我把精神更多地放在人物精神层面上的刻画”，“泰锡和小米反差激烈的精神观是影片重点着墨的部分，而谁才是心灵意义上的真正‘教头’就留给观众去判定”。
　　韩国版《这个杀手不太冷》
　　昔日的青春“花美男”元斌破格变身为沧桑的“大叔”是本片最大的噱头。在《我的哥哥》、《太极旗飘荡》和《母亲》等作品中他饰演的都是“轻易激发母性本能的‘天真’大男孩脚色，此次在《大叔》里则初次应战“坚固的大叔姜泰锡”，决然离开了昔日稍显“柔弱”的形象。
　　本来是一位出色的特别要员的泰锡，在一次行动中心灵“负伤”，自动筑起了与人间的隔膜，抱着“天天的生活只是呼吸而已”的失望信心经营着寺库，为了救出少女小米而再次“出世”。在这进程中，泰锡受尽黑帮团伙的暴力侵害，是以元彬的打戏成为另一个看点。《大叔》中泰锡和小米的关系使人联想到吕克·贝松的名作《这个杀手不太冷》的让·雷诺和纳塔莉·波特曼凄美壮绝的故事。和后者分歧的是，“我是谁”——大叔的实在身份是贯串《大叔》始终的一大悬念，在泰锡突围进黑帮构造被盘问“你是谁”时，小米的一句“我隔邻的大叔”令黑帮们起头轻视这个量力而行想来逞豪杰救人的“大叔”。随后情节的展开“令观众意外之余亦会大呼过瘾”。
　　元斌：泰锡和实在中的我很像
　　元斌在受访时暗示“不能说行动戏更合适我，只是打架的戏很成心机”。自出道之作《求婚》后，“少女漫画中的男配角”的形象就被赋之于他。此次在《大叔》里，他诠释的前职业特别要员展现出“如可骇主义者”一样的血性男人气概使人眼前一亮。暖和稠密的豪情+爆炸力实足的行动戏，难怪《朝鲜日报》记者在作夏日票房前瞻时，对元斌的《大叔》布满信心“激烈的眼神，灵敏的身手和外冷内热的豪情，这个炎天大韩民国的女人们必定要被这样诱人的大叔动心”。
　　做了14年演员，元斌没有拍戏时多在家里消磨时光，身世于农家的他坦言实在中的自己和片里的大叔有很多类似之处，“也许这类布景和情况（村落里的隔世生活）更令我们更安心吧”。在拍摄《母亲》时，元斌甚至被奉俊昊“指责”：“‘退隐’得连啤酒的味道是怎样的都不晓得了”。私底下简单的生活和“巨星”身份不符的元斌言现在唯一的变化是不但沉迷电脑和游戏“玩游戏的时候渐突变少了”，“把更多的时候放在念书和看电影上”。
　　风趣的是，元斌和“大叔”的另一个配合点是工作竣事后就回家的单身汉“现在没有女朋友，比起恋爱，更想成为一位出色的演员”，虽然“怙恃已经不竭絮聒‘怎样还不谈恋爱”，在宣传《大叔》时，元斌也罕有田自动提起自己的绯闻，否认了与申敏儿拍拖的说法。
