　　按照吉田絃二郎同名小说改编。
　　兄长归天，父亲沉痾，为了保持一家的生存，16岁的女孩阿兼（若尾文子 饰）不能不给一位六十多岁的老人充任情妇。老人和父亲归天后，阿兼带着唯一的1000元和母亲回到乡下故乡，但是母女却遭到村民的轻视和不屑。未几，村中的榜样青年清作（田村高广 饰 ）退伍归来，遭到村民的热烈接待。籍由阿兼母亲归天之际，清作和离群索居的阿兼了解，并掉臂众人的阻止，终极与其相爱连系。
　　征兵令再次下达，清作重返疆场。委曲求全的阿兼好不轻易盼回丈夫，却得知清作还要履行一次危险的刺杀使命。恋爱至上的女人终极作出一个疯狂的决议……
