简　　介  

　　榜样监犯弗兰克?莱昂尼（西尔维斯特?史泰龙 Sylvester Stallone 饰）的刑期还剩半年，他定期可之外出与女友碰头，这个昔日的修车技师看中了一处仓库作为往后的修理部，普通的生活在期待着他。但是某天他忽然被转移到情况卑劣的盖特威牢狱，全因五年前他为了见师父兼养父的最初一面，从牢狱长庄古（唐纳德?萨瑟兰 Donald Sutherland 饰）的治下逃走。弗兰克逃狱成功成为豪杰，而庄古却蒙受惩罚怀恨在心。现在，庄古将弗兰克重新把握，寻机报仇。
　　弗兰克遭到了庄古及手下的卑劣看待，但始终哑忍，而且渐渐在牢狱中结交了几个朋友，包括始终想逃狱的囚房万事通、消瘦年轻的“杀手”和狱中修理厂的负责人，死板的生活有了好转，可是庄古始终冷静注视着他，预备给他更大的疾苦……
