　　海边别墅的女佃农埃勒维兹掉下绝壁灭亡，邻人德拉蒙向警局宣称他们在海边发生了一次争持，他转成分开，后来才发现酒醉的埃勒维兹出错落海。房东——孀妇琳恩搬进了已故丈夫留下的这栋海滨别墅里。她发现德拉蒙会经常过来干扰她的生活，虽然自己很生气却又被他迷倒。在琳恩决议与德拉蒙成婚并前往度蜜月之时，却发现他能够与埃勒维兹的死有关，甚至还能够会杀戮自己……
