◎简　　介　

　　Nickie Ferrante（加里·格兰特 Cary Grant 饰）是一个游手好闲的有钱人，在一艘游轮上相逢了Terry McKay （黛博拉·蔻儿 Deborah Kerr饰）。两人相谈甚欢，Nickie更是船姑且靠岸的时辰带着Terry去了一个乡镇上探望了他的奶奶，Terry发现了Nickie在油画上的天赋。两人世情愫暗生。船到了尽头站纽约，两人要分隔了，约定半年后在纽约帝国大厦顶层重聚。半年后，Nickie单独一人在帝国大厦从白天等到入夜，未见Terry的踪影，失望而去。而另一边，Terry却在赶来的路上发生了车祸而没法到达。不能走路的Terry不愿再去寻觅Nickie，却偶然在半年后的一场舞会上又见到了Nickie，此时的Nickie已经是小著名望的画家。Nickie费尽心机终究找到了Terry的居处，预备再次追求Terry的芳心。到底这段波涛不竭的恋爱成果会若何？
