　　      罗伯特．阿德力区执导的西部行动片。伯特．兰卡斯特在片中饰演美国原居民的魁首马萨，他对峙不向美国的骑兵队投诚，以一人之力匹敌一大群的骑兵，凭弓箭、匕首和枪，展开神出鬼没的还击行动。白人骑兵标兵艾尔里伯实在也怜悯原居民的处境，但却不能不率队展开大屠杀。卡斯特在他自己监制的这部作品中卖力表演很多惊除行动排场，也表示出他对白人欺侮红人的那段历史的批评态度。本片可以说是战后美国西部起头规复社会性关切的早期代表作。
